Good content doesn't just sit on a page and hope for the best. It earns its place — in search results, in your reader's attention, and eventually, in your revenue.

Freelance SEO Content Writing Workspace and Strategy Planning

I'm Ravindra Raman, a freelance SEO content writer and strategist with 15+ years of experience working with businesses across three continents.

I've helped a digital marketing agency build multi-vertical content that ranks, a freight and logistics company scale its online presence across international shipping routes, and a travel business grow its organic traffic through destination-led storytelling — in markets as different as Australia, the UAE, and Sri Lanka.

If you've been publishing content that gets little traction — or you're starting from scratch and want to do it right the first time — this page covers everything you need to know about what I do and how we can work together.

What Is SEO Content Writing, Exactly?

Before anything else, it's worth being clear about this — because a lot of people conflate it with keyword stuffing, robotic writing, or churning out blog posts just to fill a content calendar.

SEO content writing is the practice of creating content that is genuinely useful to your target audience and structured in a way that search engines can find, understand, and rank.

The best SEO content doesn't read like it was written for an algorithm. It reads like it was written by someone who understands the topic — because it was.

Done well, SEO content does three things at once: it ranks for the right keywords, it answers the reader's actual question, and it moves them closer to taking action with your business.

What I Offer

SEO Blog Writing

Long-form blog articles and thought leadership content built around carefully researched keywords. Each piece is structured for search intent, written for humans, and formatted for readability — with meta titles, descriptions, and internal linking built in.

For Faye Digital in Australia, I've produced blog content across multiple client verticals — healthcare, tech, outsourcing — each piece tailored to a different audience and compliance requirement, but all built on the same research-led foundation.

Website Copy with SEO Built In

Service pages, landing pages, and homepage copy that balance search optimisation with persuasion. There's an important difference between SEO content writing and copywriting — but they work best when the same person understands both.

For a UAE-based international freight company, I've written route-specific service pages targeting high-intent keywords for cargo and household goods shipping — copy that had to inform, reassure, and convert simultaneously.

Content Strategy and Keyword Planning

Not sure what to write about or where to start? I can map out a keyword-led content plan that shows you exactly which pages and posts to prioritise — and why. Keyword research and content planning is a standalone service, but it's also how most ongoing content relationships begin.

AI Content Humanisation

If you've been using AI-generated drafts that sound flat, get flagged by detection tools, or simply don't reflect your brand voice, I can reshape them into content that reads naturally and performs. This is increasingly one of the most requested services I offer.

Who This Is For

My clients tend to fall into one of a few categories:

  • Digital agencies managing content across multiple client verticals. You need a writer who can adapt to different brand voices, industries, and compliance requirements without needing constant briefing. I've worked in exactly this capacity for Faye Digital in Australia — producing SEO-driven content for their clients across healthcare, technology, and professional services, consistently and reliably.
  • Businesses in freight, logistics, and international shipping. Route-specific content, cargo service pages, and location-based landing pages are a niche most writers avoid — the subject matter is technical, the keyword strategy is complex, and the volume is high. I've built out extensive content libraries for a freight and logistics company in the UAE, covering international routes from Dubai to Europe, the GCC, and Asia.
  • Travel and tourism businesses targeting organic search. Destination guides, hotel content, experience pages, train journey itineraries — I've produced full content sections for Journeyscapes Travels in Sri Lanka, built from keyword research up, combining local knowledge with an understanding of what travel audiences are genuinely searching for.
  • Business owners who need content but don't have time to produce it. You understand the value of showing up in search. You just need someone to handle the execution reliably, without needing constant direction.

The Industries I Work In

I write across industries — but there are three where my experience runs particularly deep, and where the work reflects years of accumulated niche knowledge rather than research alone.

Digital Marketing and Multi-Vertical Agency Content

Working with Faye Digital in Australia gave me a particular kind of discipline: the ability to write across industries without losing depth in any of them. Every piece went through keyword research, search intent analysis, GEO and AEO structuring, and AI detection checks — across verticals as different as telehealth and cybersecurity.

Freight, Shipping, and Logistics

Through long-term work with a UAE-based freight and logistics company, I've written route-specific service pages, cargo guides, packers and movers content, and international shipping landing pages covering routes from Dubai and India to Europe, the GCC, Southeast Asia, Africa, and beyond. This is an industry where most content sounds identical — generic, templated, and unconvincing. It doesn't have to be.

Travel and Tourism

For Journeyscapes Travels in Sri Lanka, I've built out destination guides, wildlife tourism content, hotel storytelling for Sigiriya Jungles, and a full Sri Lanka train journeys content section — individual route pages for Kandy–Ella, Kandy–Badulla, and Colombo–Galle, each with its own keyword targeting and search intent. Travel content lives or dies on specificity. Generic destination copy doesn't rank and doesn't convert. Content that speaks to what a traveller is actually trying to plan — that does both.

Australian Healthcare and Telehealth

I've written extensively for Australian telehealth dermatology brands — Acne Express and Dermo Direct — covering acne treatment, medical-grade skincare, retinol guides, and teledermatology access for regional Australians. All healthcare content is written in line with AHPRA and TGA guidelines — no absolute therapeutic claims, no named prescription medicines in consumer-facing copy, qualified language throughout.

Every Other Industry

The niches above reflect where my experience runs deepest — but they don't define the boundaries of what I can write. I've produced SEO content for clients in technology, cybersecurity, outsourcing, professional services, e-commerce, and education. Good SEO content writing starts with research, and research works across any subject matter.

My Process

Every project follows the same core workflow, adjusted to the scope and complexity of the brief.

01

Keyword Research

I don't start writing until I know what we're targeting and why. I research the primary keyword, identify supporting terms, check search intent, and confirm there's a realistic ranking opportunity — whether that means mapping route-specific keyword variations for a logistics brand or identifying travel intent behind destination searches.

02

Content Brief

Before writing a word of the article, I map out the structure — headings, key points, word count, internal link targets, and any compliance or tone requirements. This saves time in revisions and keeps the content focused.

03

First Draft

Written for the target reader first, the search engine second. The keyword placement, heading structure, and meta elements are all handled as part of the draft — not added on afterwards.

04

AI Detection and Readability Check

All content goes through a ZeroGPT pass targeting below 15% AI detection, and a Flesch Reading Ease check to ensure the copy is accessible to a general audience without being dumbed down.

05

Final Proofread and Delivery

Grammar, spelling, punctuation, Australian English conventions (where applicable), sentence case subheadings, and a keyword usage table confirming placement across the article.

Why SEO Content Needs a Specialist

Any writer can produce content. SEO content that actually ranks requires a specific combination of skills: keyword research, understanding of search intent, on-page optimisation, internal linking strategy, and the ability to write at length on complex topics without losing the reader.

It also requires consistency. Search rewards sites that publish regularly, cover topics with depth, and build internal links across a coherent structure. A planned content architecture — the right heading hierarchy, keyword placement in the first 200 characters, internal links between related pages — is what separates content that compounds in value from content that just occupies disk space. A one-off blog post rarely moves the needle. A properly built content cluster does.

SEO Content Writing for Your Market

For Businesses That Need a Writer Who Adapts
Every client I work with operates differently. Faye Digital needed a writer who could move across client verticals without losing depth. A UAE-based freight company needed someone who understood a technical, high-volume industry and could produce route-specific content at scale. Journeyscapes Travels needed content that combined local knowledge with genuine keyword strategy. What they had in common: they needed reliable output, not a writer who needed constant hand-holding.

For Businesses at Any Stage of Growth
I work with businesses across the size spectrum — from focused owner-operated brands to established mid-sized companies with defined marketing functions. Journeyscapes Travels grew its content presence from a handful of pages into a structured, interlinked content section covering destinations, train journeys, wildlife, and hotel experiences. That kind of content architecture works whether you're publishing two articles a month or twenty.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is SEO content writing different from regular content writing?

Regular content writing focuses on producing something readable and informative. SEO content writing does that and accounts for keyword targeting, search intent, heading structure, meta elements, and internal linking — all of which influence whether the content ranks. Read a full breakdown here →

Do you only work with businesses in certain industries?

My strongest work is in freight and logistics, travel and tourism, and healthcare — these are the niches where I have the deepest experience. That said, I've written across tech, outsourcing, cybersecurity, and professional services. If the subject matter involves a considered purchase or a specialised audience, it's likely a good fit.

Where are your clients based?

Across three continents — Australia, the Middle East, and South Asia. All work is managed entirely remotely. I'm comfortable working across time zones and have been doing so for over a decade. If you're not in the same time zone, we'll work it out.

Do you write in Australian English?

Yes — and I also write in standard British English, which covers most markets outside the US. Australian spelling conventions, tone, and regulatory language (particularly in healthcare) differ meaningfully from US or UK English. Getting it wrong undermines credibility with a local audience regardless of where that audience is.

Can you help me figure out what to write about?

That's the keyword research and content planning service. We'd start there before any writing begins. More on that here →

What if I want to use AI-assisted drafts?

I can work with AI-generated drafts and humanise them to a publishable standard — or I can write from scratch. Either way, the finished content goes through AI detection and readability checks before delivery. More on AI content humanisation →

Ready to Get Started?

If you've read this far, you probably already know whether this is the right fit. The next step is a straightforward conversation about what you need, what you've tried, and what you're hoping to achieve.

No lengthy onboarding. No discovery calls that go nowhere. Just a clear brief, a realistic plan, and content that does its job.
