AEO & GEO Optimization
Services

AEO and GEO optimization gets your content found by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews — not just ranked on Google.

Generative AI search interface and AEO optimization

Content Built for the Next Search Era

Strategic writing designed to get cited, quoted, and recommended by AI.

The Challenge

You're Ranking on Google.
But Are You Showing Up in AI Answers?

Search doesn't work the way it did two years ago.

Someone asks ChatGPT for a recommendation, gets an answer from Perplexity, or reads an AI Overview at the top of Google — and never clicks through to a website at all.

If your content was only ever built for traditional SEO, there's a real chance it's invisible in every one of those moments. Not because it's bad. Because it wasn't structured for a machine trying to extract a direct answer, verify a fact, or decide which source to trust and cite.

This is what AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) actually solve. AEO is about winning the answer — the featured snippet, the voice search result, the direct response an assistant reads aloud. GEO is about winning the citation — becoming the source a generative AI model pulls from, quotes, and points people toward when it builds an answer.

Most businesses haven't touched either. That's less competition for the ones who move first.

A Quick Distinction Worth Understanding

AEO Isn't New.
GEO Is.

These two terms get lumped together, but they're not quite the same thing.

AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) has been around since Google introduced featured snippets back in 2014 — the "position zero" box that pulls a direct excerpt from a ranking page, along with voice search results and other answer-first Google features. Traditionally, it's extractive: Google's algorithm identifies the best existing answer and surfaces it, largely verbatim, with a link to the source.

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the newer discipline — built for AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other tools that don't just extract an answer. They generate one, synthesizing multiple sources into a new response, often citing a handful of them along the way.

The practical difference: AEO has historically been about winning a spot Google already decided exists. GEO is about earning a citation inside an answer an AI model is actively composing. The line between them is blurring, though — many of today's "answer engine" results already lean on AI-generated summarization rather than pure extraction, and the two disciplines increasingly overlap in practice.

Both matter. Both reward the same underlying discipline — clear structure, direct answers, credible sourcing.

But treating them as identical still means missing part of what's changed in how people search.

The Solution

Content Structured to Be Found,
Understood, and Cited by AI

I write and restructure content so it's legible to both search engines and AI models — clear answers up front, well-defined entities, structured data that machines can parse, and the kind of directness that gets a sentence lifted straight into an AI Overview.

This isn't a separate discipline bolted onto SEO. It's the same foundation — search intent, structure, authority — extended to cover how AI models actually read, extract, and cite content today.

No gimmicks. No trying to trick a language model. Just content built to be the clearest, most citable answer to the question someone's actually asking.

Industry Focus

AEO/GEO Built Around Industries
I Already Know

Generic AI-optimization advice doesn't hold up in regulated or highly specific industries. Here's where this actually applies for my existing clients:

Freight & Logistics

Route-specific, compliance-heavy queries — the kind of direct questions AI assistants get asked constantly ("how long does shipping from Dubai to the US take").

Skin Health & Teledermatology

AHPRA/TGA-compliant content structured to answer patient questions directly and clearly, without overstepping into medical advice AI shouldn't be citing carelessly.

Travel & Tourism

Destination and itinerary content structured so AI assistants can pull specific, accurate answers — not vague generalities — when someone asks "what should I do in Sigiriya".

Digital Marketing

Practitioner-level content written for an audience that increasingly finds answers through AI search first, Google second.

If your industry isn't listed, reach out anyway — the underlying discipline (structure, clarity, authority) transfers regardless of the niche.

The Process

What Working With Me
Actually Looks Like

Audit & Gap Analysis

I review your existing content against how AI models are currently answering questions in your space — where you're cited, where you're invisible, and why.

Structure & Rewrite

Content gets restructured for direct-answer clarity, clean entity definitions, and the formatting AI models actually extract from — without losing the human voice that keeps readers engaged.

The Impact

Why This Matters Now, Not Later

  • Early movers in AEO/GEO are building citation authority while most competitors haven't started.
  • Traditional SEO and AEO/GEO aren't competing disciplines — done right, they reinforce each other.
  • Content built for AI citation tends to be clearer and more useful for human readers too.
  • 15+ years of SEO content experience applied to a search landscape that's shifting fast.
  • No vague promises — clear, structured content built for how AI models actually read and cite.
